Andy Puzder recently stated he is opening 300 restaurants in Texas and has decided not to open any in California. When asked why he gave this response;
In Texas you can get full permit approval in 6 weeks, in California it takes 8 months. In Texas they let you run it. In CA. for example they won’t let management work more than 50% of the time in non-managerial capacity. Excessive labor/operating laws wrapped in duplicative taxes and the highest cost of doing business in the nation.
