to my Jewish sisters...hijab is actually beyond Islam and also included in Jewish traditions so it's not a matter of whether it is an Islamic or Jewish or Christian tradition...it is a patriarchal tradition which even existed in the Persian empire...actually if you read Sonbol and other Islamic feminist writers you will see that it had to do with politics and power

Iranian women are looking like goods, For buying them , you pay money or coin as a MAHRIYEH .
Most men are in jail because they did not afford to pay MAHRIYEH.
MAHRIYEH is the money you should pay to buy or rent wife in Islam.

This is amazing! I ve never known about that! woman incover was invented by nasty Arab men to have what was considered their possesion in bulk in thier safe without worrying about losing any of it!
