First Strike Batllefield 2142 star wars mod Deathstar

This is the First Strike mod for bf 2142, go here for the mod http://www.fsmod.com/downloads.fs (I recommend reading through support threads before installing :P) Anyway hopefully when bf 2142 hits steam this will get community boost as atm its mostly co-op and small battles being played but some of best maps are made 40+ players in past were epic! :P

You are using a Y-Wing wrong. It is a bomber.

To be honest I cut quite a bit of the bombing of the towers as it is a little repetetive compared to the close tailed dogfighting. I agree a bit though I hadn't noticed before but the y-wing on the mod has an alternate firing mode which makes it almost as potant as an x-wing although you still don't quite pack as hard of a punch, plus the manouvarability isn't as great and its hard to get things off your tail because you have a limited boost.

this mod looks EXCELLENT!! once i get a pc that can run this i will be getting it for sure! 2142 seems to work very well with this. imagine the crazy mods that could come out of bf3/frostbite 2.

Looking at the movies (as a guide), the x-wings and tie-fighters fly a lot quicker over the Deathstar's terrain. They should speed up the flight speed by 1000% imo.

Its great to see a player use the Y-wings ioncannons - so many players don't even know they can! I hope you have signed up for the Rebellion in the NiC campiagn, we need good pilots.
