  • How many GB memory card are you using? Great review by the way :)

  • @JTReviewHD I use two 16GB Sandisk Class 6 20MB/s cards (I don't shoot video.) Even with the latest firmware I have had the "invalid card" error message twice. I just reformat the card in the camera and it's fine again.

  • I have to thank you so much for the review. Very informative. My main worry was the weight difference. Being that it is only 9grams, I decided to order one. When did you order your meike? Also, did the battery tray, clasp break off yet? That was a big issue with a lot of customers on amazon.

  • @9ballprodigy I got it in the first part of September. The lock switch for the MeiKe rechargeable battery tray hasn't broken off, but I heard about the problems with it so I was careful when turning it. I haven't really used the AA battery tray, so I can't say much about it. The Nikon's latch switch feels stronger, but I figure any little movable switch like would probably be the first thing to break no matter who makes it, so I'm careful with it too.

  • u shoot JPEG ?

  • on the Meike, does the shutter and aperture dial work the opposite as the Nikon grip?

  • Does it have the thing where the settings wheels turn the opposite way to the genuine Nikon ones?

  • Love my Meiko, but is *does* have reversed controls, and if you reverse the camera's controls in the menu, it also reverses the Meiko's - therefore, they are *always* wrong.

  • I would like to THANK YOU fot this comparison, it really helped me.

  • At 9:09 you pressed the info button on the camera with the MeiKe attached. It did not display the same as the Nikon grip. The Nikon had two battery power displays stacked. The MeiKe just showed one battery..

  • Min 9:04, it doesn't show the 2 icons for the battery as it does with the Nikon grip....

Thank you!!...definitly will go for the Nikon...thanks!

  • this is helpful

  • Nikon battery grip looks like chinese fake for $70 (on eBay a lot of this grips). So you will not see any differences between one fake and another one :)
