Online Concert, 4/7/09: A performance of Brett Paschal's "Rosebush" and the last movement of Brian Van Winkle's "/dances."

This video ran a little long, so there are not descriptions of notes about the music. Both of these pieces were part of my proposal to perform new music at PASIC 2009. "Rosebush" is dedicated to Nancy and Coyote Bush, and can be heard on his cd "About Time." You can purchase it either through Honey Rock Publications or Steve Weiss.

"/dances" was a piece that I commissioned from Brian about a year ago. I will be giving the premier at a concert in Burlington on April 21st.

  • The performance was really really good. I especially like your mallet choice, mind telling me what you used?

I'm thinking about playing this solo this year. haha
