Dan from North Brunswick, NJ got a visit from some Jehova's Witnesses, and got into a debate with them. They haven't been back since.

WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at a non-atheist audience. It is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin. I think the Gods were once people and they evolved. They organised the worlds from chaos matter that has always been. The Earth is billions of years old as Atheism says but that is where I part ways with them. I do think there is a lot none of us know yet and only when we can evolve to be Gods will we have a clue. Does anyone else see it like I do?

Atheism doesn't say anything about the age of the Earth. Atheism doesn't speak much anyway. It's just a lack of belief in any gods.

By definition atheists don't, and regular theists don't hold such beliefs either, so I guess you are on your own.

@Gowardh Assuming "your" in that sentence means atheists, you're not doing any good with your comment. Atheists aren't afraid of hell, because there is no evidence of the existence of such a place. All you did is accuse "us" of being satan and threatening that we''ll go to hell, which again, we don't believe in. You aren't getting anywhere with this. If he created us, god gave us free will, right? But we'll go to hell if we don't believe in him? That isn't free will, that's bribery.

Jehovah witnesses are cults they are not real Christians anyway, they leave in groups because they don't have any truth to debate your lies with, so it is really just satan talking with satan. However if you talk to a real Christian there is no debate you either want God to judge you as a sinner, with no mercy, or you want God's mercy though Jesus Christ you want Heaven or Hell, all of this talking all of this arguing does it really matter when God at the end will play it all back to you?!

Purpose can mean "intention/objective" or "reason for being/happening". So we have a purpose for existing in the latter sense but possibly not the former.
