Pope's apologizes for child abuse by clergy during homily in Westminster Cathedral

Pope: "Here too I think of the immense suffering caused by the abuse of children, especially within the Church and by her ministers. Above all, I express my deep sorrow to the innocent victims of these unspeakable crimes, along with my hope that the power of Christ's grace, his sacrifice of reconciliation, will bring deep healing and peace to their lives. I also acknowledge, with you, the shame and humiliation which all of us have suffered because of these sins; and I invite you to offer it to the Lord with trust that this chastisement will contribute to the healing of the victims, the purification of the Church and the renewal of her age-old commitment to the education and care of young people. I express my gratitude for the efforts being made to address this problem responsibly, and I ask all of you to show your concern for the victims and solidarity with your priests."

If you care about your church i suggest you watch it and then you can debate anything you disagree with and perhaps we'll both learn something we didnt know! As ive said serving god and being a catholic is fine but to believe the pope is infallable which he isnt is silly! the church needs to come clean( handing over all guilty priests to authorities) then perhaps honor can be restored..

@hopefaithNcharity92 bbcnews recently documented a group of abuse victims who were turned away and not granted permission to even speak to a high ranking cardinal let alone the pope- why is he apoligizing the same reason BP apoligized- public relations and money! The church is losing people like flies! hence losing money!! The church and the pope are corrupt and amoral end of story! He is only apoligizing because the public has had enough as have many catholics!
