  • The version he is reading is skipping a lot of mine...

  • @MrChickenBurritos Yeah, they called "abridged".

  • I like the reading, but it skips parts of the story which makes it hard for me to follow along while reading the story for myself.

  • @addgirl18 Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it is abridged. We had considered doing the full story, but since YouTube was limiting our videos to 15 minutes at the time, we didn't want to split it into too many parts (it's already a 2-parter). We have since been approved to upload longer videos, so that won't be an issue in the future.

  • many thanks for this video!

  • @StrobieStudios Oh.. Well it covered the material that I needed lol so thanks

  • @megsblaire

Lol I didn't know that, I've just started studying him, but that wasn't my point.

Like I said, I like listening to his poems when spoken by some old British accent. I think it better captures the creepiness, but that's just my personal opinion.

  • @missash70 Poe was American, though. Not British.

  • THANKYOU so much.

  • Awww ):

    It's abridged! ):

For some reason I prefer to listen Edgar Allen Poe when read by people with old, British-sounding accents. All I can find on here (in terms of The Fall of the House of Usher) is American ones ):

  • Lovely reading.
