Your idea for the prequels were awesome. actually I thought the same thing. Also they should have made sure all the things made up in the originals happened in the prequels.

i like all of em but the prequels tell about the force and sshit

@Indubitably14 True, most importantly though I think fans of the prequels don't deserve to be bullied the way they have. Basically all I'm saying is you are allowed to like what you want to like and dislike what you want to dislike. I love movies and I generally look for the best in a film. I have not seen a single movie that I consider unwatchable. Not counting films obviously for a younger audience or a different gender. Like a carebears movie or Twilight.

@MrGameandPichu Fair enough. I am not sure if you are aware but Rotten Tomatoes only compiles reviews from actual critics who work for newspapers, magazines and respected websites (Roger Ebert included). When it comes to the Prequels and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I have never disagreed more with Ebert as well as his dislike of Fight Club (one of my favourite films). Just saying, it's a well known fact that Episode 4 & 5 are the most respected and influential Star Wars films of all time.

@Indubitably14 Audiences online who tend to be the stubborn prequel haters. Also I wasn't going by numbers I was going by actual reviews of respected movie critics. Roger Ebert gave Episode 1 a 3 1/2 out of 4 stars. It doesn't really matter anyway. As a good film is defined by what the individual viewer thinks of as a good film. Anyone is allowed to like what they want. All movie reviews are opinionated anyway. I know people who enjoyed Transformers 2. I don't agree but I don't call them wrong.

@MrGameandPichu Using Rotten Tomatoes percent to show what critics think and IMDB to show what audiences think. Episode 1: 61% & 6.4/10. Episode 2: 67% & 6.8/10. Episode 3: 80% & 7.8/10. Episode 4: 94% & 8.8/10. Episode 5: 97% & 8.8/10. Episode 6: 79% & 8.3/10. So quite clearly, Episode 4 and 5 are not only widely considered to be the best, it is by a large margin. The only ones that are close is the weakest of the original trilogy which is 6 compared to the best of the prequels which is 3.

@Indubitably14 As Far as I've seen 3 is considered the second best. 1 was actually well recieved from most critics. In Episode 1 Liam Neeson and Ewan McGreggor lead and they were both great. In my opinion Hayden did better in 3 than Hamill in 4, I know you won't agree though. In 2 Hayden was bad but Ewan was great.

you're ideas are really good, I always pictured the prequels to be more like the original trilogy, in structure and tone, and with anakin being a slightly less naive luke with more charm. I thought the prequels would start with Anakin as a pilot in some academy as young man. But alas, we got a child with a 90s bowl and some real sterile characters.

@wolfman8325 Yep. Has to be one of the biggest missed opportunities in film.
