On April 19, 1775, the "shot heard round the world" was fired at the Battle of Lexington and Concord beginning America's Revolutionary War. Under the leadership of General George Washington, thousands of brave American soldiers suffered terrible hardships and achieved stunning victories in their fight for independence from Great Britain. From the pen of Thomas Jefferson, America declared to the world its rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Learn how 13 British colonies became the United States of America in their quest for freedom.
We are not a democratic nation! We are a Republic big difference! We are governed not by the mob but by a strict set of laws called the Constitution! The Central Government was GIVEN a small area of rule, everything else was the power of the different states and to the people. We have come a long way and have all but destroyed our Constitution. Time to get a copy of it out and read it for yourself!

All i am saying is if you dont like it then leave because its people like you that help give this country a bad name. we dont need people who criticize the country of not being a democracy when this is the best place in the world to live (as far as human rights go)

America would likely never win with just its guerrilla war tactics alone. Victory was achieved in part through a combination of practical field tactics and guerrilla tactics.
Without support from Britain's rivals, the ragtag would end up fighting without the support of the military leaders who ACTUALLY gave them victory.
And should Britain's economy become stable again, the overall rallying cry for independence may have eventually become unnecessary anyway, ending all partisan activity.

@apincle im English..that was a main factor yes mayb we could have sent more forces without the Spanish and French navy to worry about, but even if it was just America we would have sent more men to beat there army,
but then they would have become guerrillas with the whole of America to hide in and defeating guerrillas is no easy task
