@goldensleeves Pretty sure supraphonic version is the one with square lugs, normal BB's have the tubes. I could be wrong though.

Question: I just bought a used Black Beauty 5x14 snare... but I don't think it was "supraphonic"... why is this? Why is it called a supraphonic ? Does that refer to the type of snares underneath? In other words, could I make my Black Beauty snare drum become a "supraphonic" by changing the snares?
