This video is a mini test and review of two of Rocky Mountain Radar products. Tested was the KAT Traxx 3-Axis Performance Meter / Radar / Laser Detector / Laser Scrambler, and the RMR-C450 Radar / Laser / Detector and Scrambler. The scrambler feature of both units was turned on for the tests. Neither of them worked as advertised to "Scramble all radar bands" and "Prevent readings of vehicle speed using newest laser guns."

These are two of their "top of the line" detectors. They are very cheaply built, feel cheap, have flimsy mounts, and do not work as advertised. Save your money and buy a detector from any any other company, you can't do much worse. (Cobra also builds some pretty crappy detectors.)

  • stalkervision - you are wrong. I have a laser gun, laser detector, and laser jammer. A good jammer with JTG every time meaning it will "jam to gun" every time. A detector will pick up laser from 0" and beyond. Junk from RMR won't detect or jam anything.

  • Stalkervidion

  • The c475 whether it jams scrambles or none of the above, still beats the 9500i on K band. watch?v=Bf-gvY9ldQA

Ka band is another story, the passport wins by 8 seconds on average, but see this video for a 43 second ka band warning @ 65 -75 watch?v=gq3SFZr3grs and I don't know how long they were alerting before I turned down the music.

  • First video is too hard to tell what's going on. Too dark & can't tell where the units are located. If the units are close to each other the results are flawed because the leakage from the units will mess up reception. The second video only shows that the c475 picked up Ka and there is nothing to compare it to. Would the 9500ix have picked it up 1 minute vs 43 seconds back from the source? I've had very long warnings with the 9500ix. For $200 you can buy much better units than the c475.

  • Hey geniuses, YOU BOUGHT THE INACTIVE MODEL OF THIS SCRAMBLER AS CLEARLY STATED ON BOX (SCRAMBLER DEACTIVATED). ALSO, THE REASON YOU GET A READING WHILE PARKED IS THE RADAR GUN IS PICKING UP THE SIGNAL THAT IS PUT OUT BY ALL RADAR DETECTORS AND DISPLAYING A SPEED. THIS IS NORMAL. FINALLY, ROCKY MOUNTAIN RADAR CLEARLY STATE ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT THEIR PRODUCTS DON'T WORK ON STATIONARY RADAR BECAUSE THESE LACK A SAMPLING COMPUTER LIKE THE ONES THAT ALL POLICE RADAR HAVE. FAIL

  • Hey Einstein, I read the manual and TURNED ON the fake scrambler option. The manually clearly states how to activate that feature.

Nice try on the excuse for it not working on the stationary radar. Have you looked at any of the dozens of videos using regular police radar guns where the Rocky Mountain detectors fails against ALL of them?

The only thing that is a FAIL here is the Rocky Mountain detectors and you not stating that you work for them.

  • @CEYES LOL you're a moron to believe that RMR will save you....... It's been tested over and over again and has always failed to scramble radar....

  • Rocky Mountain Radars are crap, they do not scramble and they recommend you mount the unit below the rear view mirror which distracts your vision of the road. My DLS315 did not scramble and I ended up with a speeding ticket but I do admit I mounted my unit 6 inches up from the bottom of the windscreen.

  • FYI I hate to tell you here but you need to be much father away from the laser for this to even ahve a chance of working. Even the best laser jammers wouldn't work from that close a distance. Neither would laser detectors.

  • @CEYES I have used RMR for a long time and am completely satisfied. They state that you can be picked uo when you are within 100 ft. as shown in the video. Someone has a bug in their butt. RMR works.

  • If you were smart enough to compose a sentence using punctuation, which you are not, you could Google Rocky Mountain products and educate yourself to their ineffectiveness.

  • its worked for me bunch of times maybe your just fucking stupid and didnt turn on the jammer

  • It's really a laser reflector that alters the return signal however the return signal is not strong enough to do anything to the police radar gun. The unit needs a higher power output.
