60's Dancing at The Whiskey A Go Go! (1964)

Great clip of go go dancing from the 60's at the world famous Whiskey A Go-Go in Hollywood, California.

Footage of some some people just letting lose and dancing freely. Some of the women dance like clockwork, in perfect little movements. This is follwed by some discussion of dancing at the time and a little "interview" with a woman who expresses why she enjoys this type of dancing compared to traditional "upclose" dancing.

This is a clip from an awesome documentary called "Twist" (1992) which goes through many popular dances of the 60's.

Part of it's definitely "Wild Thing", (can't say for certain if it's the Troggs version) but it almost sounds like it's played along with another song at the same time. Need to get the time-machine geezer to check it out.

Joey was so great. Her father was singer and radio/tv personality Ray Heatherton. I was on his radio show back in the early 90's. Great guy too.
