The real meaning of the song is disclosed on the live version for anyone who didn't get it originally I suppose lol.

Yeh, I think most people know the real meaning, but that one line change does make it very clear. Not to mention a bit more sense than "they're afraid of what they see".

Doesn't Bernard sound good here though? Almost exactly like the record.
