Chris Sievey was the leader of the 1970's/1980's U.K. Indie rock/power pop/power punk group The Freshies. He later moved into comedy and created the character Frank Sidebottom, a fictional pop star from Timperly, Greater Manchester. Frank also covered "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite" on the charity record "Sgt. Pepper Knew My Father".
