Oliver Reed - After Dark original TV clip. Part 1

My original recording of Oliver Reed on After Dark from early 1991. I only started recording when I noticed things looked like they were getting interesting so if anyone has the whole original episode I'd love to see it. I tried to edit out the boring bits as I was recording, but as you see, I still ended up with a fair bit of "non-Ollie" debate. Actually, 17 years on I think it's quite an interesting discussion!

@russscience I agree however the brand of feminism that Millett promotes is, in my opinion, too black-and-white. Rather than approaching patriarchy from a neutral position, she characterises women as victims, ignoring any possibility of greater diversity or women's complicity in their historical treatment. In this respect, she compartmentalises women as much as patriarchy does.

It's such a tentacle of convoluted, long winded, rambling conversations that it almost impossible to follow, the guests are all bonkers. Oliver is so precious here! It's beyond words how deliciously out of control this show tries to hold onto the rails with Ollie at the helm. His chopper analogy ROTFL!

I remember the After Dark shows: they were safe, ingratiating little intellectual debates where nothing was confronted or resolved. Ollie wants some straight, honest pub talk, but the others want to hide behind Psychoanalysis, and the latest revelations from their therapists. Poor Ollie, I reckon he's thinking "What the fuck are these arses talking about? I wonder if I can catch last orders."
