Dr. Frankenstein and his monster both turn out to be alive, not killed as previously believed. Dr. Frankenstein wants to get out of the evil experiment business, but when a mad scientist, Dr. Pretorius, kidnaps his wife, Dr. Frankenstein agrees to help him create a new creature, a woman, to be the companion of the monster.

  • I think Una O'Connor's screams are one of the highlights of the film. I don't know why anyone would be annyoned by Una's shrieking. Her scream at 1:44 is impressively loud. It's very important to scream well in horror movies. Una O'Connor, Valerie Hobson, and Elsa Lanchester all had particularly good screams.

Okay I'll admit Valerie Hobson isn't necessarily perfect as Elizabeth (give her a break she was only 17 at the time and actually did better than Mae Clarke in my opinion) and O'Connor's scream might annoy some, but I personally think the acting is quite good overall. It was a different time of acting where some actors were still struggling with the sound era and had a more theatrical style in general. Karloff, Clive, Thesinger, Heggie, & Lanchester are excellent though).

  • Classics are the best, no overly done gore, no overly done acting tough against the evil monsters, just theatric acting, and good stories.

  • The original was best. But it is a pretty good sequel.

  • I LOVE this movie! <3 i got so pissed off when i went to a video store by my house to find out they didn't have, not only this movie, but neither Frankenstein, Dracula or any of the classics. you should always have the classics!

  • @globalman O I C Thanks

  • @cstoczyn For Your Information :-)

  • @globalman What Does FYI Mean?

  • @globalman Long Live Valerie Hobson!!!!

  • @globalman RIP Valerie Hobson

  • FYI.... Elizabeth played by Valerie Hobson one of England's most celebrated beauties became the wife of Profumo who would many years later be at the Center with Christine Keeler of a great scandal known as The Profumo Affair. Valerie stood by her man and disappeared from public life with him.
