PARABOLIC MIRROR 55.7" PARABOLOID SOLAR POWER STEAM GENERATION Giant Death Ray

This is the second video with the 55.7" Parabolic Dish. The water boiled in 90 Seconds from 50F. The container is a Venom Energy Drink made out of thicker gauge Aluminum. I added some black paint to the back but kept the from because it is a cool design. The drink was too sweet for me:-)


This dish was slightly damaged so I softened the dents and corrected the surface. This dish is operating at full strength even with the slight damage. It was like that when I got it. I decided to test this one incase something happened that way I did not damage a near perfect dish. This one also has a center hole for mounting.

Hi Dan. Regarding fresnel lenses and parabolic dishes- is there a positive correlation between temperature and distance for all points between the focal distance and the lens/dish ?

Yes but the energy is the same. Closer yields a large focusing spot with a lower maximum temperature, larger area.

For water it is best to not be at optimal and illuminate the entire side of the container. The larger area looses less heat and transfers faster. Super high temperatures leach a lot into the atmosphere reducing efficiency. Since I was just holding this it was in and out.

Nice video but whats the final point will it heat my home and make electricity? and where would i get them? Home depot doesnt sell them ...where the hell did you find them?Hope the neiborhood kids dont have slingshots or red ryders or you will be picking up a lot of broken glass...but anyway its interesting
