BROADWAY TRIVIA
After 12 preview performances the original and only Broadway production of "Anyone Can Whistle" which was directed by Arthur Laurents opened in New York City at the Majestic Theatre on April 4, 1964.

On April 11, 1964, the show closed after just 9 (nine) performances .

As of Jan. 2012, there has never been a Broadway revival of this show.

NY City Center is not a "Broadway" theatre. Therefore, the Encores! production of "Anyone Can Whistle" is not considered a Broadway show or "On Broadway." This was a very limited run of of 5 (five) performances from April 8 - 11, 2010.

Someone actually thought he was miscast as Hapgood?  Seriously? I think this is my favorite Raul role -- I like him here even better than in Company -- and this is definitely my favorite rendition of "Everybody Says Don't." It's rarely this anthemic.
