@Left4Halo3 i think if you really approach God with a heart of sincerity and real humility when you ask for forgiveness, yes God will forgive you every time, but we are still called to a higher sense of morality, and to avoid sin, because even if God forgives us, sin is still our rejection of Him.

@Left4Halo3 God has already forgiven them. (those in a relationship/believe in Jesus) He sent Jesus to the cross to finish sin. In this world, you are NOT able to live without sinning. "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God - romans 3:23" Asking for repentance is our way to confess and be lifted of our burdens.

@Left4Halo3 I cant speak for ALL christians. but I myself.. feel horrible when I sin, the bible says FEAR THE LORD, but I fear him as- if I let him down.. it's like disappointing someone you cherish close, the process of repent, means to ask for forgiveness yes, but also to ask the lord for strength and for his help so together you and him can defeat the sin to which you are repenting. :)
