IR is being sarcastic. He says the directors come to him for music, take advantage of his tunes,a nd then leave. They dont bother about him after tat... like business.

ilayaraja is uncomparable tamil legend. If i can get a chance to do anything for him , i will do. He is the only one gentleman after Annadurai sacrificed his soul for tamils and tamil language. Otherwise, we all would have become a part of Billion-plus-Hindi-speaking-crowd long ago. Even now tamils are slave in TN, they have no political freedom, no self-respect, dignity, they cannot do anything without consent of Hindians.

Annadurai gave us Tamil Country akka TamilNadu. Ilayaraja gave us life via his songs.
Every Tamil is greatly indebted to these two legends of modern Tamil History.
