depends what kind of waves your riding. i went from a 7 foot fun shape to a 5'7 quad fish pretty easily. they are more bouyant and nuggety than a normal shortboard, but loose and skatey. im only surfing waves from knee high to over head, otherwise, im filmin'

hey, I'm getting a custom fish, and I don't know what size to get. I have experience on a 7'8" Fun board and I got quite good on it. I am 5'4" and weigh 105 roughly. The guy says since I don't have experience on a shorter board he's gonna make a 6'3" for me.

Would this be fine?

this is how surfing should always look like on a shortboard. smooth transitions from cutback to snap to snap to pump to snap to spin. OMG i want to be that smooth!
