  • Is this a joke? Libertarianism is opposed to immigration control; it's as simple as that. This anti-Muslim argument comes from a misunderstanding of Libertarian philosophy. If we want to rid the world of stupid ideologies then free immigration is a good thing! Note the correlation between low levels of civil liberty and high levels of indoctrination.

  • @JohnColt

It is not even close to being that simple unless libertarianism is just an ends in and of itself. If you aren't concerned with how your ideologue can survive and prosper based on relevant information than you will be thrown to the dustbin of history and almost none of your values with take form.

  • Islam is opposed to freedom, so any supporter of free speech and freedom, by necessity, will be opposed to Islam and its encroachment in Western Civilization.

  • People are waking up all over the world.... Islam is the worst most depressing religion in the world...it is NOT welcome...people don't want to go back to stone ages...the more Muslim cause problems the more they will be unwanted pushed away...

  • @Zendout1

They are retards alright, but I wouldn't even call them liberals. Liberals have some sense of liberty, albeit smaller than libertarians, I have yet to meet someone worthy of the name liberal that supports an immigration stop. These people are as liberal as they are libertarian, no at all.

    Immigration laws are anti-freedom.

  • @JohnColt

You said it mate. i'm no longer a libertarian myself, but that's because of the economic side of it. I still firmly believe in social, civil side of it. Spot on comment.

  • @hellsunicorn

What you are trying to say is that me not saying "Islam is trying to take over the world" is PC? No, I don't say that because I don't believe it. That's as retarded as "all Muslims are terrorists".

Yea, well, I have news for you mate. Pretty much every religion out there is founded on force. That doesn't mean all modern followers are forceful. Religion is fine, as long as you don't enforce your ancient desert-morals on anyone.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Um, this is a wholly pointless parsing of terms and reeks of P.C. oriented superstition. Islam by itself is nothing until someone believes it, just like mathematics doesn't exist until someone starts discerning it. And even if I were to entertain the notion that Religionists constitute a minority in this situation, the Islamic doctrines of Kitman and Taqiyya make it impossible to tell the two apart absent maybe a polygraph.

Islam is founded on force. Look it up.

  • @hellsunicorn

Not islam by itself. Religionists trying to enforce religious legislation are a threat to freedom. I should have clarified that.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Did you just admit that Islam is a threat to freedom? LOL

  • @IndividualAutonomy

That makes no sense. If you are pro-immigration control you are no longer a libertarian. You can claim you alter your views to survive, but then it's no longer libertarianism. I'm a vegetarian, suppose I start eating meat to make vegetarianism thrive? Do you see how stupid that is? Do you think I'm sill entitled to call myself vegetarian then?

  • @hellsunicorn

I am no advocate of throwing him in jail because he speaks of banning books. If he were to actually ban books, that would be a reason to stop him.

I don't see carbombs going off on the street every day. I do see 1/3 of a country voting for a guy who wants to ban books and cartoons. Geert Wilders is as big of a threat, if not a bigger one, to freedom as Islam.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH I see the irony in European governments trying to throw Geert Wilders into prison for speaking his mind. The kind of freedom you are talking about with tolerating Islam is "The freedom to destroy freedom", which is nonsense.

Freedom has its natural limits, and it ends with tolerating the freedom of tyrants, and Islam is one of many forms of tyranny. If the Mid-East wants it, they can keep it, but keep it out of our countries.
