Easy answer. Back in 94-98 saleen used v6 mustangs to produce the s351 (they swapped the enginge out obviously), the v6's came with the horse emblem. In 96 saleen introduced the entry level s281 and used the GT as its base car cause they wanted it to keep the GT's engine. no swaps. GT's came with the GT4.6 badging. In 99 saleen created their own 'Saleen' side badging to end the dispute about authenticy. The only True way to know if a saleen is real is the VIN of the car.

very nice car, but what's up with the GT emblem badge on the side of the car? Is it a replica?
-
@ShaneRaweewon no, it was an upgradable spoiler, the low rise came with it, for $800 or some thing you got the "racing" spoiler
-
@MNherpexpert That wing is actually stock on some s281's, I'm not a big fan of it either. The other low profile s281 spoiler is much sleeker and looks better.

used for naughty things

wow, a wing?

Damn nice Car!
That's a BEAST riqht there!

unbelievably gorgeous!!
word of advise to the new owner. goto your local alignment shop and get the current alignment specs of your car for later use.(Dont have them align the car just get the current specs) TRUST ME do it!. Saleens tuning is completely different than GT or cobra. Alignment shops always make your handling much worst by using ford specs. Also take note of the racecraft suspension parts, make and numbers. its all bilstein but you want the correct shocks and struts info for later purchase.

That is very good advice. I will let him know when he gets home. He is a solider over in Iraq right now. We are very proud of our troops and we cannot wait to meet him when he comes home. We love our troops and give them much prayer of protection.
