Interesting thing about coffee roasting is that the lighter the roast the more caffeine content. The longer it is roasted the more caffiene is heated out of it. That's why breakfast blend is such a light roast and french blends which are comsumed more at dinner time and evenings are darker a roast.
Hey, great video! I've been using a hand grinder but would like to get an electric grinder. I've found that same Faema grinder and am wondering whether it will do the job (I have a la pavoni manual lever machine). Thanks!
Thats the type of espresso i just found with the help of my sister! I only have a simple stove top espresso maker but im wondering if it is simply ground fine enough that it wont affect the taste as apposed to having a full on machine. Thanks man !
Hi from New Zealand. I have the exact same model/colour Faema Family, bought in Australia around 25y ago, still looking and working great. She needed a new element a few years back due to corroded terminals. I checked the portafilter pressure last month and adjusted the OPV from 13 bar down to 9. Shots are still a bit fast with 8 grams coffee so may lower the pressure further, tinker with my grinder, or ?try a new filter. How many grams of coffee for a 20 sec shot with your machine?
