This song kind of reminds me of "Born to Run" by Springsteen.

I was thinking the same thing - not the voice specifically, but his Bruce-esque talk-singing doesn't really do much for me.

Finn's favorite album of all time is "Let It Be" by The Replacements so that kind of explains his lyrics. He continually cites The Mats and Westerberg as his biggest influences as he is from Minneapolis. And unlike the Goo Goo Dolls this band does the Mats justice!
