This is why it sold. Who isn't gonna buy something with Alda sitting there telling you how awesome it is in his prime? Be like the Rock promoting a 360. Sales would go through the roof.

@kidd912thomas I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the Academy doesn't deny that he is a wonderful actor, and his philanthropic work proves he's a better human being than most.

@belangerist I didn't mind the shows politics, but i didn't like how preachy and self rightously heavy handed it became.

@belangerist The book was very right-wing. So I suppose it didn't help that the TV series was made around the time of the Vietnam war.
