most times people are taught the moves, and for men this can be pretty hard... dancehalls around the world are full of women complaining that their men partners are not musical... well, it is because they are taught moves without feeling the music
practice by noticing what your body does when you listen to music you like... dance to it... do this in public
there is a lot of talk about leading, about men being confident.. you can bypass all this by just listening to the music and letting it move you.. you have nothing to worry about, if it goes wrong it is because the music was too soft, too little, too heavy, whatever...
application: when you hold a woman in your arms for the first time, and if she gives you her balance, you can just let the music move you and this will enable her to fall, she catches herself by stepping and you just let this motion occur... avoiding people and chairs and things, influenced by the music... remember to dance to something which actually has creates movement in you
he seems nice and all, but people, this is a prime example of how it is a miracle that people who take tango lessons ever learn to dance. this guy teaches? thanks for the warning.

i teach maths
and so far haven't seen it as my place to teach anyone
but
i just posted to indicate what i have learned...
your comment indicates the reason why traditional lessons are so turgid and destroy any sense of musicality
btw
have you ever engaged british people?

from a dancer who has studied with the "best" of Manhattans teachers, for the past 7 years, I can say that this the true essence of the dance, which I have never heard it expressed so simply, I would love to study with this guy. sounds like you prefer learning homogenized "steps".

i like how you put it
study with this guy
since it would be your own experience
that you would be attuned to

seriously
thanks
