Early canoe built by the B.N.Morris Company of Veazie, Maine. This 15 foot canoe is thought to be an example of the Special Indian model and dates from a time before serial numbers were used. It has a rare Morris name-plate and a few features of construction that differ from a typical Morris. Note that the decks, seats, and outwales are not original and will be replaced with more authentic parts.Follow this and other restorations at www.wcha.org in "Forums".
