Norton Buffalo was born on Sep. 28, 1951 and was a great influence on my playing. I even got a fake ID so that I could go hear him play in Champaign IL when I was 17. He had to cancel. I saw him in 1985 in California after I moved there and later met him, played with him and became friends in the late 90's. He graciously wrote the liner notes for my House of Cards CD. He was a great player, kind soul and extremely funny. He passed on last October. We miss Norton- Roam In Peace! I play HB on an A B-radical in 12th position (key of D) and Puerto de Azul on a C CBH2016 in E minor.
Nice job Michael........ One of my all time favorites, you sir, do it justice.

Spot on, but I think you miffed the very last note on the happy birthday rendition. But hey, only Jesus was perfect, right?

Very sweet Michael - the playing and the tribute. Norton sure was a great one. Saw him live a number of times 'back in the day' and will miss him too.
