YOU WILL DIE TRYING TO SURVIVE WITH THIS KNIFE. However you will look awesome when they find your body. The knife is great for making movies, it looks pretty awesome. I was going to buy this 265 dollar knife BUT WHY?? The reason I wanted it was to look cool too, then reality set in and I had to get a real tool for survival. THIS KNIFE IS CRAP, the only reason anyone who has one supports it is because they spent so much money on one they have to support it. What ii has is weight, lookscool

I am offended by this video

@BukiTakumi sure as heck wouldn't depend on it is as the only tool for living off the land for years on end. in a pinch it would get your basic needs resolved and yes you there would be a little under the breath griping... cannot imagine any survival situation with out some griping ;-)

@Patriot36 no prob... nobody ever claims that a multi-tool pliers is the best tool for the job or that teh screwdriver on swiss army knife is great for precision work, but it's funny how many people carry them around and make resonalbe use of them. there is a comment below about a k-bar and and axe and I think that is a perfectly suitable alternative, however if you are going to have only one thing along this knife isn't the worst option. You could get a shelter and basic needs made w/it

@BukiTakumi Very well reasoned and I appreciate your sensible point of view. Thanks for weighing in with your thoughts bud!

@Patriot36 I agree the chopping ability of this knife is overstated considerably, however as a survival tool.. A knife to make fire sticks, skin animals, knotch snares etc it does fairly well.. not as well as any other knife designed for just one of those specific puposes but it does a jack of all trades job master of none effor on a wide variety of task. in that respect it is a well rounded suvival knife all be it in need of an assistent... like the TB scout which is a really great knife

Röhejes ez a fa gyepáló tahó !

Folyton ez a fanyűvés.
Próbáljatok már megpucolni egy 20 dekás halat
egy ilyen tuskó-élű késsel ! És azért azt hiszem
az is a túlélés témaköre még.

Since I saw this knife for the first time in the movie "The hunted" I knew tis knife design is good for nothing. Maybe as a fighting knife but also there is not gonna be the best one, even not in the top 10 designs.
Well, after watching one and two it is easy to see that the TBT is definitely not the tool for your area and the type of wood you encounter. I do not own a TBT and never would. An interesting point is that the Tops version of the TBT is NOT a faithful interpretation of the original TB design. In short, Tops F'd it up pretty good. If you want to take a look at a more faithful version, look at the Red Scorpion Six WSK. It is lighter, longer and the proportions are correct with a much better saw.

@sszabo777 I'm familiar with the Red Scorpion and even got to play with one for about a week. I've come to the conclusion that the OVERALL design is poorly executed regardless of what minor tweaks and adjustments are made. Just because the RS is the more faithful rendition doesn't mean that it's any more capable, other than perhaps tooth angle. The shortcomings are apparent in the design whether I'm in the desert or conifer country, so it's not a regional issue. Thx 4 watchin man!

I`m no expert, but I`ve been stomping around the woods for over 50 years, and feel compelled to say that this is the most retarded "survival knife" that I`ve ever seen....a simple, good-quality 4-to-5 inch drop point will do just about everything you need to do (and a small camp axe will do the rest). Forget about this ridiculous design, it`s a joke.

Absolutely bud! It's amazing to me that a few would embrace such a clumsy design with such enthusiasm.
