First time playing this hymn as I don't remember ever before playing it so I kept it simple. I remembered the melody and think I got it right. Thanks to friends Stephen Tharp and Musicorganum for providing me with the title of this hymn. I remember singing it 40+ years ago when I was a chorister, but never played it and only remembered the melody and not the harmony. Recorded at First United Methodist Church Orlando, Florida on their recently (2010) rebuilt and enlarged 1963 Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1410 by Randall Dyer.

  • Randall Dyer rebuilt this organ.. They are located in jefferson city, TN.. I haven't found any examples on YT but I have played some and they are gorgeous

  • @TheYoungOrganist OK Mark WAKE UP!! I 'm not one for excuses, but I think it was very late (5am) when I responded to this and was fighting sleep. So for whatever reason, I didn't put 2 and 2 together as I completely thought that you were speaking of some other builder and I really thought that you meant a new digital builder named Dyer. No wonder my son calls me a blockhead! At the dedication of this organ, I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Mr. Dyer, and he did a great job!

  • I am playing this for Maundy Thursday Service. I definitely wish the harmonizations were written down! They would be put to use! I am VERY envious of this organ. Our church may replace our nasty Allen with a Dyer. I love Dyer's work and sound etc. Fabulous organs. Keep posting videos!

  • @TheYoungOrganist Thanks, I've never heard of a Dyer organ. Where are they from and are there any examples of them here on YT?

  • Well done. As always, Mark!

  • @holyholyholyorgankid Thank you! Long time, how are you? Well I trust. Keep in touch!
