pobre caballe , la orquesta debe esperarla para cada pasaje de coloratura, esta todo sucio el aspecto de coloratura, esto es debido al desastre de haber forzado la voz con esos roles que canto como gioconda,toscoa turandot,venus siglinda, y la lista es larga, ahi esta el resultado,sin negar la belleza que aun posee y una tecnica inigualable sin la cual ya a esa altura no tendira voz,pero una cosa no kita lotra

actually according to his website he has sung everything from Rodolfo to Bacchus in Ariadne, including Pollione.. BEAST!

As much as I love her, Caballe should have retired then. There were many better sopranos for this role around and it's a loss they didn't perform the role.

This has my Guru conducating Maestro Zedda is a genious!!and makes this two work hard Montserrat is better here that what she was at this time,Merritt has always been a great Rossinian singer.Thank you for this I never thought it had been filmed..

Of course, Caballe is too fat, too old, her voice too damaged to sing all notes from that score. But there is always a magic sound that gives me pleasure to ear her interpretation. (and she is much much better than in Pesaro 1987).
