When the church have a say in law making, it is not a Democracy, it is called a Theocracy. The founding fathers are rolling in their graves, if dead bodies can roll I mean.

Rachel Maddow is an Oxford educated Rhodes Scholar (take note Christine O'Donnell) who has her pulse on what is right in American politics. Her nightly show contains the most well researched information I've ever seen or heard. The difference between the accuracy of her programme and the low brow, muck raking rubbish on the Fox Network is in a word QUALITY. Rachel cares about her audience enough to ensure that she delivers only the best in television journalism. Rachel is an American treasure.

did the mormons, dobson & others think we would tuck our tails between our legs & go home... please! i say: bring it, bitch! you've awakened the sleeping giant...

For fun, go all the way to the end of this to see Rachel comment on the Colorado CD 4 race in which we finally threw out Marilyn Musgrave after 6 years, she being the one trick pony on a Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. Good riddance and welcome Betsy Markey. Oh and good riddance to retiring Colorado Senator Wayne Allard, her partner in crime on the same proposed amendment in the Senate. And welcome Democratic Senator Mark Udall!

"The treasury gave banks $140 billion of *your* money"
Strictly speaking, it was mostly *rich people's* money, as they pay the bulk of the taxes, even under Bush's tax cuts. I'm just saying. Doesn't make it right, though.

"TRUE THAT" :P hehe now I know both my short haired crushes use that phrase

The proposition will be overturned as it should be because discrimination should not be allowed in our laws... as a born again Christian I am sickened by the passing of this law.

Well, if it's not 'the end' for Prop 8 opponents, as Schwartzy put it, then the Mormon church will sure be sad to have put so much of that much needed dough on a bad play. Which inevitably taints the 'welcoming' image of the church.
I mean, really, if they have THAT MUCH money to put towards something, why not homelessness, AIDS, child prostitution, poverty... jeez! even public transportation!
These protests are a rising phenomenon of how much acceptance there really actually is. Keep it up!
if churches want 2 involve themselves in politics...then tax payers and legislators have the right to revoke their Tax-exemption.

God damn, think of all the useful things they could have done with all that money that they were able to raise.
Think of all the actually helpful CHRISTIAN friendly sorts of things they could of done with all that cash. But instead of doing that, they decided to use it to attack people's rights.
Way to go Christians, using your religion to spread hate, I guess some are still the same eh?
