man my only regret is not seeing joy division this song is so powerful ian curtis is just using everything in this 1 emotions love hate everything that life is bringing upon us the bass is incredible rip ian may you be happy wherever you are

Search for images of Salford in the 1960s and 70s. Read William S. Burroughs, Camu and Brave New World. That is why Joy Division sound the way they do. If you have never suffered with depression ask someone who has. This music and lyrics are spot-on.

@MrRandyJohnston Joy Division weren't a part of "the goth scene". They were a new wave band, part of the post punk movement.
