I think a fairer test would be the iPhone 3GS vs. the Palm Pre Plus. They're both the newest models in their respective lineups, so it would be more fair.

probrably the first video i seened that iphone 3gs won, cnet made there own test and iphone lost to the pre, and consumer report made a test of there own and pre won, alot of these youtube home made tests are rigged or something stupid like theyll press the iphones go to url button 1 second before the pres! simple mistakes or iphone fanfags cant take a loss? remember folks pres only been out less than a month! less than a month and were still on on web os 1. sumthing. camera , virtual keys comin

nice video!! but please... make that lower third smaller. u don't really need to cover 25% of the video with a black bar, it could be 60% smaller and look nicer.

Perhaps you didn't watch the video. The test was done using WiFi. Airplane mode ensures that the Pre didn't use Sprint's network.

The 3G S browser is very fast. However, I do agree with you. Unless you are carrying around two phones and speed testing them, both are plenty capable. Other factors would probably influence your purchase decision, more so than this test.
