Thank you Amy, your videos are so helpful - if you've suffered this horrible thing called anxiety yourself you will understand how grateful people like me are for people like you who can help get rid of it! xxxxxxx

What I appreciate most about your yoga videos is that - besides giving very clear and precise instructions - you present just ONE pose in each. Performing a whole sequence can be a little too much for beginners and often finding time for more elaborate practice is simply impossible. Keep up your wonderful work and help us newbies get acquainted with yoga, one pose at a time :)

@amypatee Thank you. I like the pose, it does help me to relax....was just trying to get the breathing part down.
Thanks soo much for doing this.
Do you know if this exercise is bad for any health conditions?

@kitty3cute This pose (along with the suggested breathing practices) is very safe. However, if you suffer from high blood pressure or glaucoma having the legs above the heart for any long period of time is not recommended. If you have any other serious health concerns, I suggest checking with your physician first before practicing. I hope it helps!

Amy I've been told when your feeling anxious to breath in with your diaphragm...not your stomach....you appear to be doing the direct opposite. I find it confusing...not you lol...but one person says one thing...another says something else.

@tiberiousss I understand belly breathing and diaphragmic breathing to actually be the same thing...just different language choice. When you inhale your diaphragm domes slightly downward causing your belly to expand. When you exhale your diaphragm domes upward causing your belly to relax inward. This type of deep breathing induces the relaxation response in the body. There are lots of different perspectives on breathing and anxiety. I suggest experimentation to see what works best for you.

I found a good spot and tried this position, it worked out well and I did feel better after. How many minutes do I do this position and breathing for Amy?? I appreciate this video, thank you so much..

@garystwins1999 I'm glad you found this pose helpful. Try doing the pose and breathing for about 5 minutes to start. If you find this comfortable, work up to 10-15 minutes in the pose. Always, listen to the feedback your body gives you and if you have major health concerns consult with your doctor first.
