For Best Viewing Pleasure, Please Watch in 1080p HD!!!

On August 5, 2011, I got the opportunity to see my third King of The West 410 Sprint Car race. This time though, I saw it at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, CA. The action was jammed pack all evening through the night with accidents, wheelies and close open wheel action. Information about each video segment to follow:

#1: The video opens up with the four wide salute to the fans in attendance at Ocean Speedway and the announcer firing up the crowd.
#2: The green flag flies and we are racing as the 83 of Tim Kaeding does a wheelie to start the action for the night. The green flag would soon be replaced by the first of many red flags for the night as first, the 53 of Placerville's Andy Gregg gets loose coming off of turn two and while the 00 of Grass Valley's Jason Statler runs over the 53's left rear wheel and goes for a spin, meanwhile, the 89 of St. Helena's Rico Abreu gets loose in turn two and hits the wall, and while slowing for the trouble ahead, the 7 car of Eli Deshaies runs over the 89's left rear wheel which causes him to flip his car on his side.
#3: Our first double file restart of the night almost goes yellow when the 33E of Evan Suggs from nearby Scott's Valley gets turned and starts to drive backwards on the infield nearly hitting a safety worker. He rejoins right in front of the leader Brad Furr. The red then flies again on lap 2 as the 23 of Ken Fredenberg and the 26 of Bobby McMahan collide with Rico Abreu's number 89 which sends both drivers towards the wall. Ken Fredenberg hits the wall and comes to a rest on his side, while Bobby McMahan hits the wall on his rear end and cartwheels down the front stretch landing upright on his car.
#4: Our first single file restart of the night gets the green and soon the yellow comes out on the same lap as the 7K of Kenny Allen hits the berm off turn three and comes to a stop at turn four.
#5: Another double file restart gets the green as the action picks up on the track. First, the 58 of Jerry Bonnema and the 96 of Justin Sanders make contact in turn two with both parties going away from it clean. The 6up of Danielle Simpson and 53 of Andy Gregg both have front wing damage from previous contact with other drivers. On lap 8, Danielle's father, the 4S of Dan Simpson makes heavy contact with the 89 of Rico Abreu, which would later end both of their nights with mechanical issues. The caution soon flies again at lap 9 when the 7B of Brent Bjork comes to a stop at turn two.
#6: And were back to green immediately to yellow as the 21 of Tommy Tarlton spins and takes out one of the safety tires.
#7: Another single file restart and the races resumes. On lap 11, Rico Abreu's night goes sour as one of his shock absorbers break and he pulls it in to pit road and retires for the night. During the race, the 7K receives major front wing damage as the wing is pushed to near vertical on the car. The yellow flies once again on lap 18 when the 17 car of Doug Gandy comes to a stop in turn four.
#8: Another double restart and we are back to racing until lap 22 when the red flag waves for the 7K of Kenny Allen who's car comes to a rest on it's left side between turns 1 and 2.
#9: And we are racing again, until lap 26 when the red flag shows once again, this time for the 0 o Jonathan Allard who hits the dirt berm in turn three and flips his car which comes to rest against the wall in turn four.
#10: Jonathan Allard's disable and wrecked car gets towed back to the pits.
#11: The green flags is shown to the leader Tim Kaeding and the rest of the field, until the last red flag of the night is waved with two to go. It is brought out because the 7B of Brent Bjork gets together with the 96 of Justin Sanders, sending the 7B flipping down the backstretch before coming to a stop near turn three.
#12: The torn up and battered car of Brent Bjork getting a tow back to the pits.
#13: The final restart of the night and your winner of the August 5, 2011 King of the West Series Race at Ocean Speedway is the 83 of Tim Kaeding, followed by the 2 of Brad Furr and the 29 of "Double Down" Willie Croft. After the checkers are waved, Tim Kaeding does a wheelie down the front stretch and does some fist pumping as he gets out of his car.

Whew, that is a lot of information, hopefully I didn't bore the crap out of you. Anyways, please feel free to like, comment, and/or leave feedback as it is greatly appreciated. Enjoy this Video and once again, Thanks for Watching!!!!
