400,000 people have been asked to evacuate three towns in Pakistan as future flood risks concern authorities. Officials said that the towns of Sujawal, Mir Pur Batoro and Daro are threatened by flooding after an embankment was breached by the Indus River in the affected Sindh region. Officials from the United Nations have estimated that 800,000 people are stranded from the floods and have no choice but to wait for air aid. An estimated 1,600 Pakistanis have been killed by the floods since they began one month ago, and millions have been displaced.
