@woe2328 Exactly that's how i was brought up in southern Florida and it is still somewhat that way. I never eat bass over 3 1/2 pounds knowing that bass of a greater size are better to release. i don't eat bass that much anymore because its all for game and the chance for someone else to catch that fish.

What you people fail to realize is this. Most people in the south fish to eat. Period. That is how I was brrought up. I dont keep bass anymore but growing up in the south you kept what you caught. I bet none of those fish went to waste. This maybe the only food they can get sometimes you never know.
