Response to self: "...how many in there WERE actually younger..."

@Sloneman a. It's the Grand Ole Opry, which tends to be more polite and well-mannered, plus how many in there are actually younger? b. Um, no, not a very underappreciated artist in country music; he's a very underappreciated artist in music, period.

I have only one comment on this performance. How on earth can the audience sit on their ass and not give a standing ovation to Milsap after that??? (The guy pours his heart, soul, energy and colossal talent into the performance); A very under-appreciated artist in Country Music.

I recall when this concert special aired on The Nashville Network in 1990, as I recorded the entire program. Such a unique talent on display at his best!

@attentionstatic I think it is more people are on the awe side of things. Perhaps, showing great respect and/or enjoying Ronnie to the fullest. Can't hear all that goodness with screaming, yelling, hollering, lol.

I have been a fan since I was 10...i used to wear sun glasses on and mock him....and still to this day I cant believe how great he still sings with NO change in voice. God Bless Ronnie Milsap!!!
One of the greatest performances of all time that is sadly forgotten by everyone except diehard Milsap fans. I remember taping this on our VCR when it first aired 20 years ago. I was only 12 years old and watched it over and over, totally blown away by the dynamic talent Ronnie displayed here. The most amazing thing about Ronnie is his versatility as a singer/musician..there is literally nothing this guy cannot sing.
