what do you mean by motors? do you mean the car or the actual engine cause we have domestic v8's outa the ass over here. We dont see alot of REAL classic cars where i am but there are alot of third gen f bodys out there. Have you been to the F body wearhouse? They have alot of info on these cars and they sell all sorts of parts too. In my area there are a couple of T/A's for under a grand I will pm you.

I dont really have a budget. I Just buy parts when ever I have money. I just try and keep it as cheap as possable. As for the 87 trans am, I dont know what its like where you are but here in canada you can pick one up for $500-950 for a dirt cheap runner. Then for one that prob has less problems you can get one for $2500ish. As long as you have the patience and skill or atleast the willingness to pick up a wrench and work on it you will be alright.

Im in the UK now, the probem is getting parts via internet and doing the work. Are they still a lot off these motors around in circulation or are they diminishing? when I went to canada i hardly seen any old cars, if you see one online or anywhere that runs for under 1,000 $ canada let me know, ib buy and import it here
