  • They just had to make it as sad as possible.

  • God Bless you all, wildland fire fighters. I remember this dreadfully sad and avoidable death. PLease stay safe.

  • Us old guys who fought fires in this area would warn you once the pinion starts you have to move carefully. The hills are too steep and tough to get away. Once the sap starts popping the fire can spread at several miles per hour in those canyons. Sad ending to a life dedicated to giving to others.

  • i personally knew him, he was a great guy. He was from a small town of Holden, population of 500. It was probably the biggest funeral in the state i have ever attended. 3,000 people or soo attended for a man some didnt know, But for who did know him, a warm hearted man. still miss him for what happened..... This fire was only 20 miles from my home, in oak city, Utah and when we heard this awesome guy had died we rang the fire siren for a important firmans meeting about what had happened.

  • This is a very sad video. This firefighter died not because of lack of experience, but from over confidence.

  • I know a hot shot that had to deploy his potato sack in the storm king fire.He survived but his helmet melted to his head and they had to cut it off with a saw.He has no ears now!!!!!!!!!

  • I stopped watching at 1:40, it's too sad but if anyone learns from his death then it's understandable to have this video. God Bless all firefighters.

  • to all fire fighters think things out frist then use the traning !!!!!!

  • yes well done but sad LCES not really dealt with. But hell your there and it is a hell of allot different then a class room or book. God bless

  • This video will be used for Look Up, LookDown, Look Around, S-131 Sqaud Boss, and Fire Behavior.

Thank you for posting it, I hope the firefighters will learn from it, as will the overhead.
