Will Batgirl save Batman and Robin from the bomb? Or will she stand for her rights and get the same pay as a man? If they say no to equal pay...bombs away! 1974 Public Service Announcement by the U.S. Department of Labor--Wage & Hour Division.

@2adGnosis At the time the show was made, in the 60s, I think they overlooked that fact. lol

@hulkster46a -- It is the still-hot Yvonne Craig and Burt Ward (who would do just about anything for a dollar after the series folded). But Dick Gautier (Hymie from Get Smart) is playing Batman.

I remember this commercial when I was like 11 years old. are they the original actors? If not, great job impersonating West, Ward and Craig.

No offense, but aren't the a vigilante group? What they do isn't exactly legal, which exempts them from the Federal Equal Pay Act. She can't figure this out and they want her to disarm a bomb? No wonder they got rid of Batgirl.

@NoIDidunt10 That is discrimination against a female employee, which is still against the law. And a lot of times, employers don't offer maternity leave- their employees take a short-term leave of absence, which isn't paid. Granted, good employers will offer paid maternity leave, but that is their choice, and should not punish their employees for the benefits they chose to offer.

Batgirl doesn't get paid more because she will likely get pregnant, ask for maternity leave which is more expensive than Batman's career
