Fake? It is not a documentary, or even based on real events. A few characters are just loosely based on some real people.

For a moment there I thought this was The Mavericks. I seem to recall a brief fight scene somewhere in the opening credits. Debra Harry's distinctive features fit show when she guest starred.

BEST. SHOW. EVERRRRR!!!!!! It's just amazing!! Why they can't show stuff like this today is beyond me. My favorite Character? Well, it's tied. It's between Mike Torello and Ray Luca. Although, I must say, Joey is adorable! I love him.

Yes, the vocalist is Del Shannon, but an older Del. He recorded this for NBC for the TV show, but sadly, 23 years ago today on February 8, 1990, (a few years after "Crime Story") he committed suicide.
