Read the works of Graham Hancock. Cataclysms like the flood of Noah have been part of the rise and fall of civilizations for a very long time. Evidence has been found by oceanographers that the end of the last ice age brought terrible floods, probably the product of ice dams releasing vast amounts of water at once, and that sea levels literally rose 80 feet overnight. I believe that the story of Noah's flood is both parable, and a memory of an ancient cataclysm.

@hunternieuport The last Ice Age was 10,000 years ago. The flood in WA was a local flood, water held back by the ice was released and water in Montana ran to the ocean.

@BeholdTheSonOfGod You don't understand. You have one tree that is 4000 years old. The next tree died 3000 years ago and it too lived for 4000 years. And yes there are a lot of them, Now you can overlap the tree rings by 1000 years so there is no mistake and you get tree rings going back 7000 years. Do it again and and again and you can go back 10,300 years. The oldest tree is about 6000 years old, try again.

@gregrutz Perfectly. If I am 30 years old and my neighbor was ten years old at one point, we can overlap our years and come up with 40 years old. I am amazed that not more people become atheists when they hear you make things up. The problem is that there are no trees with rings indicating life more than 4900 years. Amazing that you stick knitting needles in your eyes and make the bold claim that you can see clearly. The fear of God is the beginning of understanding, fool.

@BeholdTheSonOfGod The study of tree rings is called dendrochronology. The oldest tree is only 7000 years old but if you have another DEAD tree that lived 6000 years ago and you overlap the tree rings 1000 years so there is no misstake you can go back 13,000 years. Understand sonofgod?
