Brent Abel of WebTennis discusses and demonstrates the importance of maintaining soft hands on the racket for your return of serve during the server's tossing motion so you can fully commit to a shoulder turn for either a forehand or backhand.

  • Brent, you did all the work and of course Mai gets all the credit. That's what you get for having an attractive wife.

  • @didanhtennis She deserves all the credit! Hey, I'm a lucky man who loves the game of tennis and am married to someone who shares that love of the game. Not a bad deal... Brent

  • @webtennis Not bad at all. Hi, from Ecuador. I´ve found that soft hands really work well for volley (that video didn´t admit comments so I say thanks in this), today I made that change an the result were killer shots. I´ll try this for return of service.

  • Hi Brent, it's nice to see Mai on the video. Hi Mai ! :-)

  • i hate playing tennis on windy day...

  • It worked. I was able to return serve with more fluid stroke.

Thx for the tip and good luck both of you on your upcoming tournament.

  • More Mai and less Brent on camera please :p

  • What a life..! Here I am, in cold & rainy UK; there you are, sun & blue skies, with a beautiful wife, playing tennis everyday.! I wanna be Brent. Vote Brent for President..! Make tennis and beautiful wives compulsory for all men aged over 42. We've got an election in May - come over and be our Prime Minister.

Thanks for all the tennis tips, by the way; and good luck in the comp'.!

  • Good Luck with the Tourny!

  • these videos are great Brent. Thanks a lot.
