  • @TheCoryChannel well i live in LAS ANGELES towards hollywood , im really ganna start searching but im i just really dont wanna hit a scam lol well thanks for the info and GOOD LUCK and i really appreciate it ......

  • @crisiscoolchris well i live in virginia so i use the "virginia film hotline" u just type that in in google and hit the first link.. thats where i go to look for open extra casting calls but if u live elsewhere i dunno what there is, but im sure if you do the research u will find something. Just remember if you do find a casting site, and it asks you to pay, most likely its a scam. the VA hotline isn't. hope i helped some..

  • @TheCoryChannel thanks ..i really appreciate it and im looking foward to searching for some extras ....... do you know of a website that isnt a scam or phone number to get started ... thank you

  • @crisiscoolchris well first you need to research and see if there is an active film community where you live, if there is you should start looking into open Extra casting calls for non-union group scenes and such. When you start coming to them you meet new people and become connected with the film community, and you can even get offered featured-extra parts, and once you build your experience you can start trying out for bigger parts:) hope i helped.. if you wanna know more just ask:)

  • @TheCoryChannel how did u do and how did you find those extras because i wanna start acting and im 16

  • @ireadmonologues

I was part of that too and stopped going... It was thousands of dollars. You're right.

  • and i'm only 14, and i have three films i'm going to be in!!

  • First find someone whos done this before, talk to them. i hav a friend who was in evan almighty, but its one of the ony ways to get started. they will give you information on whats filming in YOUR area.

  • i have a question!!!i'm 16 years old and i found online a job for extras and i phoned them!!!i will go there in order to see me in a few days!!!well, what's the qualifications that an extra should have and is the money good???i'm really nervous but excited too!!!

  • i live in la and trying to become an actor to and i am 16 it is hard getting started out in the biz, i went to a screen test yesterday in beverly hills at Casablancas modeling agency, it went pretty good i was on the list for call backs, but found out all it is is a school, and you dont even get an agent out of it. I recommend getting headshots and going to open casting calls. Dont go to scouting agencies, all they want is your money. doesnt matter if you are good or bad.
