Lol! I read that Vince McMahon was going to endorse this small company like he did for ECW and promote them. Then this promo was cut and Vince said "no thank you."

What's funny is that Gilbert seemed like he would enjoy doing it again on a WWF show even though he'd be losing work.

This is likely real since Randy Hales loved that kind of stuff and the man had absolutely no clue where to draw the line or how to reign the guys in. Shoot, work, or in between, he miscalculated this big time because they lost a sizable portion of the audience with each new sentence that came out of Doug's mouth.
