No actually only one side has proof. The world is warming at a rate that is not consistent with historical climate patterns. Humans are damaging the Earth and it's ignorant to say otherwise. thats because fire warnings in january is normal in dry areas where as record snowfall during a period where the entire globe is getting warmer would be impossible if the hysteria on the subject were true.

fires do not prove that the planet is getting hotter. they dont even suggest it.

there has been record ice creation as well.

unfortunately you are not versed enough on the subject to give a solid indictment on Rush or global warming skeptics.

Allegedly last year we had the warmest winter on record here in Minnesota. We had an entire week at -20 Fahrenheit. I don't know how they are calculating those averages, but they don't seem to jive with reality much.

Now they say that global warming causes increases in snowfall. Now I could buy this. Precipitation can increase because of higher temperatures, I agree. BUT THAT DOES NOT EXPLAIN THE BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES AROUND THE WORLD.

Also, you have to consider that the satellite temperature data completely contradicts the oft cited weather station temperatures. The satellites are saying the earth has cooled slightly in the past decade. Yet every year we hear we had the warmest summer on record.

That is such a load of crap. A 50 year delay in the greenhouse effect? What a load of crap. Climate scientists can't even agree to what degree carbon dioxide affects the greenhouse effect, much less what the time scales are. The only "consensus" is that a bunch of the IPCC scientists say its happening. How much? they don't know. To what end? They don't know.

The 2001 IPCC report also said that due to global warming, snowfall would decline in the next 10 years. Well guess what?

@bobdole57 There is a 50 year carbon delay for their greenhouse effect to peak. That means that we're dealing with 60's level greenhouse effect. There is going to be a huge spike in temperature that will continue to grow rapidly. There is a limit to how fast the biosphere can adapt. I don't know how warm it is "supposed" to be. What I do know is that rapid global climate change will be disastrous to eco-systems everywhere. Secondly the Earth is huge so a half-degree is a big deal.

If the temp swings 30 degrees in a day no problem. If it swings 30 degrees in a year, no problem. If the temp changes half a degree in 100 years its a goddamn motherfuckin crisis.

There is no historical data that shows these timescales at all. The earth could be not warming enough for all you know.

So the question I have to ask any global warmist: how warm is it supposed to be?

If you can't answer that, shut the fuck up.

There are no gay animals, though there are some animals that will mount a same-sex animal as a show of power, not affection.
